Hi i've recently installed the chrome browser but I cant navigate at all, the address bar seems to be stuck on about:blank . I am running a pc on XP home, have AVG 8.5.409 installed and spybot S&D 1.6.2.46. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling with spybot turned off and then set permissions on AVG to exclude chrome and still I am in about:blank hell. I viewed posts on Google's own forum and am aware there is a conflict somewhere, if anyone out there has an inkling of how I could resolve this I would be extremely grateful. I have Firefox & IE 7 installed, but dont have either Spyware doctor or Windefender installed, so these are not an issue.

have you checked your proxy settings?

and where did you download chrome? if not from google.com then uninstall and reinstall from google

Dear friend the problem that you have is E-net Explorer 7 if the program is corrupt in any way then Chrome will be blank at the top or menu bar will be whited out.
And it does not matter if you have E-8 the prob will live on. Why??? believe this every web browser runs of the platform of E- EXP 7, Chrome, Netscape,Opera,Flock,Foxfire...ex. yep same engine -email and all..
