Chrome VS Google Search Question...

Hi, I'd like to know why I get different search results when using Chrome as opposed to just the Google Search? When I use Chrome, I get different results than when I'm using Google Search. Is Chrome also a separate search engine, with different algorithms? Or, am I getting different search results based on my browsing history?

I don't understand, because I have a web site, and it appears in Google Chrome as being on the first page, but it's not on the first page when I do a Google search. Any help on this will be appreciated.

The search results with same keywords is depend on your IP address and browser language.
