Puzzling Problem

Chrome used to work flawlessly for me but recently attempts to access certain sites are causing "Something went wrong while displaying this web page" messages on a consistent basis. I can access the sites without problems using Firefox and IE7, and others have verified that they are able to access the sites using Chrome.

I've tried various things, for example:

1. Uninstalling and re-installing Chrome V2.0.176.0

2. Installing older versions of Chrome

3. Clearing all browsing data

4. Temporarily turning off NOD32, Windows Defender and the Vista firewall

but nothing has fixed the problem.

Any ideas for addressing this issue or for other avenues worth exploring? I'm using Vista Home Premium SP1.

You can try Chrome Developer Version. the current version is 3.0.182.3.
